On 23rd November 2017, Gough Square Chambers held a ‘Consumer Law Update’ conference. Simon Popplewell gave a caselaw update on unfair terms and CPUT; Kevin de Haan QC spoke on whether gamblers are adequately protected from unfair trading practices; Jason Freeman from the Competition and Markets Authority spoke on its recent work;  Daniel Brayley discussed the Pricing Practices Guide and Ruth Bala gave an update on CCA s75 litigation trends.
