On 15th May 2014 Fred Philpott and Jonathan Goulding delivered a joint presentation on “Modern Food Law Prosecutions” at the IFST (Institute of Food Science and Technology) Golden Jubilee conference. The conference was held at the Kensington Forum , Cromwell Road and was attended by 250 delegates mainly food science experts from the food industry and academia. Fred and Jon addressed the audience on the types of case prosecuted by the authorities with many examples from their own cases, current trends and what the future holds in food law regulatory enforcement . Further, given the specialist audience, the presentation also covered the role of the expert in food cases and gave many examples of the issues that require the deployment of expert evidence .
