Candidates for pupillage commencing in October 2021 should apply by completing the application form below. Guidance notes are also provided to assist prospective candidates. Applications and any monitoring form should be sent by email to or printed and sent in hard copy to Chambers’ address.
The closing date for applications is 18 September 2020.


We offer up to two mini-pupillages per year. Each mini-pupillage will last for two to three days within early July or early September. Applications may be submitted at any time but will only be considered during the period between 1st May and 1st June.
Mini-pupillage is not a pre-requisite for applying for pupillage at Gough Square. We only offer limited places due to the small size of chambers and the nature of our practice.
Mini-pupillages are available to those who have a keen interest in applying for pupillage at Gough Square and wish to spend a few days with chambers.
Applicants should have spent at least six months studying law at university level and have, or expect to obtain, the academic qualifications required for full pupillage. All applications will be considered in accordance with our Equal Opportunities Policy.
