This year’s Trading Standards Institute Conference was held in Bournemouth. Gough Square Chambers again hosted a stand and delivered two mini-theatre sessions.

Iain MacDonald gave a talk on “Expensive Commercial Practices” encompassing the recent increase in magistrates’ sentencing powers, enhanced consumer measures and the draft sentencing guidance in respect of health and safety and food offences.
